EA has revealed what you’ll see on the front of the box when you pick up The Sims 3 Ambitions – in the States anyway, art may vary in other locations, rating definitely will. And this is it (click it to make it go all bigger like):
A new game update has been released for The Sims 3, which includes the following fixes:
- Base Game: Fixes an issue that causes Sims to get stuck in the “Grab a Slice” interaction on pizza.
- Base Game: Fixes an issue where Sims continuously perform the “Be Invited Inside” interaction on other Sims’ lots.
- World Adventures: Fixes an issue that causes the game to freeze when attempting to save a household on a base camp.
- High End Loft Stuff: Fixes an issue where the family inventory loses functionality after using the Create a Style tool on an object.
- High End Loft Stuff: Fixes an issue that prevents the fulfillment of the “Buy a Video Game System” wish when buying the “GUGA JoyToy 3” and “Console 7” video game systems.
- High End Loft Stuff: Fixes and issue that prevents the “Presenting the Perfect Private Aquarium” Life Time Wish from counting fish in fish aquariums.
- Shop Mode Update: Fixes problems caused by the font and updates the In Game Store to the latest EA Webkit version.
As usual, they recommend you follow their “check-list” before
updating, which you can find by clicking below and finding the post
called “Game Update for: 1.11/2.6/3.2″ – remember that the file
directory in Windows Vista and Windows 7 is, by default,
C:\Users\USER\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 (the directory
they specify only applies to Windows XP):

You can get the update by going to the Game Updates tab in your game launcher, if you’re not prompted to update automatically.
If after updating you get some sort of “code version is incompatible” error, SimGuruHydra has got you covered:
If you are running into an issue after installing the March Update stating the code version is incompatible, and all products are completely up to date, try deleting the Version.tag file located in your My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 folder. This file will be created again upon starting the game.

There’s also a small update for the Create a World Tool, bringing it to version 1.6 (still beta):
Create a World – Updating compatibility version of Create a World Tool – Beta to be compatible with The Sims 3 to ensure it continues to function with in-game features and the Exchange.
You can apparently get that through the game launcher too.
Well, I've finished moving the news system to Wordpress, and it's gone live - here’s some reasons why this is great:

There are, however, a couple of downers:
At last I have been able to end the poll – so, that must
mean we finally have some results right? Yes. So last time I
asked Have you downloaded The Sims 3 Create a World Tool
Beta? The majority of you (40%) aren’t interested in the
tool at all, but 30% of you have. Click below to view and
discuss the full results, plus read two explanations.
